What truly separates the Leitzphone from Xiaomi’s own flagship 17 Ultra isn’t the hardware alone — it’s the experience layer built on top of it. This is where the work of littlevoice comes in. Working directly with Leica & Xiaomi teams, littlevoice designed the Leica UX / UI that transforms HyperOS 3 into a cohesive, premium environment shaped entirely by Leica’s visual language.
The result is not a skin or a theme pack layered onto an existing Android interface. It is a complete rethinking of every interface layer — from the camera UI to home screen widgets, from battery status indicators to sleep mode screens, from wallpapers to system fonts. The Leica UX / UI introduces two distinct theme styles, Authentic and Vibrant, alongside a custom icon pack inspired by Leica cameras and Leica typefaces woven across all system elements. Early reviewers noted the predominantly black-and-red design language provides a clean, refined look compared to the standard Xiaomi UI, with custom monochromatic icons for popular apps that feel deliberate and considered.
This thoroughgoing approach to interface design is more than a co-branded phone usually gets. Dedicated Leica widgets — including photo galleries and a golden-hour timer — sit naturally within the home screen, while the camera interface itself strips away clutter in favour of Leica’s philosophy of clarity, restraint, and focus on the image. The Essential mode in the camera app removes all extraneous modes and labels, presenting the photographer with nothing but their subject — a deliberate act of reduction that echoes Leica’s century-long commitment to the decisive moment.
littlevoice wasn’t just an agency executing a brief—they genuinely understood the Leica mindset and values. That’s what made them different. They didn’t just follow the project scope—they contributed ideas that made a real difference. They are more than just a partner; they are an inspiring collaborator.
